Winter Warmers.

I know, I've been completely neglecting you, but my SL life has been so busy. There's been romance and photography, lots of working shifts and being generally helpful. I start modeling classes as of tomorrow, as well as a new job at fierce, and I've just finished doing a shoot for a new sim that brought $4000L into my life!

Anyway, today's LOTD(well, yesterday's anyway) was generally inspired by the fact that the trees are now almost completely bare, everyday has a bitter chill in the air, and we're already being predicted snow for Saturday! I had to go to a lovely winter wonderland sim and get snapping. The whole thing was mainly started by the lovely coat from **DP**Yumyum. <3

LOTD 01.

Yes, I am starting to do LOTD posts from now on, and then you can tell the difference between actual fashion entries, and just random photography/general musings from my SL.

Today's LOTD is this wonderful outfit that I made from the base of these lovely boots from ETD (they've got a L$30 sale on all their stuff right now so go down and shop till you drop!). The hair is also from ETD. The skin is a wonderful freebie from 42(I cant remember if it's a group gift or their complimentary gift they have, but they're both gorgeous). The jewelry is a pearl set from Dark Mouse and the top is the gorgeously wonderful MG group gift that I've been drooling over since it plopped itself into my inventory and last but not least, the jeans(that are aptly called "Bumhugger") are from Savvy Avvy.

I love this outfit, there's just something about it that screams autumn and warmth, though I think it could be completed more with a scarf, it would totally clash with the collar of the gorgeous jacket.

I know I already posted

I know, I only posted a few minutes ago, but I decided to take Milk out somewhere and show off her new found Real-ness. <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"

Adorable, isnt it?

Simply the best Avi challenge.

I know, I've completely neglected you all recently, but I promise, I'm back now. After a hectic week or so of RL, I'm back in SL and ready and raring to get my ass back into the fashion world and blog again (if there's acutally anyone who reads this, which I highly doubt!).

I look the challenge over on the "Simply the best" blog. It was to design an avvie that looks more like your rl self. Though I wasnt going to be cruel enough to make her as short as I am, so I didnt get her confused with a child avvie whilst I was going about my daily business, but everything else is quite similar, though I will admit she's slightly on the skinnier side of me, but I'm loosing weight, so maybe we'll match more in size at the end of that :P

That's my avvie now I've edited her. Yes, she is slightly larger then she was before, and slightly shorter. She's got blue eyes, and blonde hair, and pale skin with more eye make-up then anything else, which is how I commonly wear my own make-up. The skin is from Celestial Studios as is the jeans and the jumper. The hair is from ETD and the shoes are from Shiny Things. These are all my favourite stores and she's wearing clothes I would really wear in real life.

As much as I hate to post the real me, that is the real me for comparison.

Now lets never speak of RL again!

So I decided to go for a little bit of retail therapy today after a long, hard day at RL work, and thinking of what to buy I decided that I hadn't bought myself a decent hairstyle in a good while. I browsed some fashion blogs for some shop recommendations and stumbled across this lovely style called Luna from Detour.

It's just beautiful, the way it's created, the textures, the way it flows with my body as I walk. Keri Clip's creations never fail to take my breath away (I'm still saving up for one of her skin packs). There are a range of colours but I personally went for the Lightest Blonde colour avaliable as I tend to be black or platinum, but there are many colours to choose from so there's sure to be a colour to suit any taste.

Detour has many great hairstyles, as well as a range of beautifully perfect skins and clothing items, so the shop is definately well worth a visit as everything there is just brilliantly made.

Watch out world, there's a new pose maker in town.

Hey again guys (if there's actually anyone out there reading, ever!), I've been pretty good in making poses now, and I figured out that I would have to make 60 poses in order to make a profit on my first week's shop opening. Sell packs of 15 at L$160 each and then those divided up into single packs, at L$30 a pop. I hopefully will sell one each of everything a week, meaning I would earn L$2440 per week, minus upload fees for the images and the poses themselves (L$1280) and then minus a weeks rent for the shop that I've got my eye on, in a high traffic area (L$280) I will actually turn over a profit of L$680, which is only if one person buys one of each of my pose-packs a week. Hopefully there will be more people, but I think that's a good estimate for a first weeks business, any advice on this subject I would be extremely grateful for as this is the first time I've ever endevoured into anything of this sort.

My idea for getting it all advertised is to go around and look for models and designers etc who will find my poses quite useful and send them a notecard. I've already been doing this so far and there's already one interested client who wants to use my poses for her next runway show! Eeek. I'd prefer, obviously to be a model in the show, but maybe after a small ammount of schmoozing this evening I might be able to talk myself into her modeling agency! But maybe I'm getting a little too far ahead of myself there!

I will post pictures of my favourites from the grid-wide ghost hunt, when I get in from work, and pictures of my poses.

If anyone's interested in recieving a sample pack of my poses and a notecard with my pricings etc then please drop me a note-card ingame to Milk McCallen and name it "pose enquiry" :)
Thankies!
