So I decided to go for a little bit of retail therapy today after a long, hard day at RL work, and thinking of what to buy I decided that I hadn't bought myself a decent hairstyle in a good while. I browsed some fashion blogs for some shop recommendations and stumbled across this lovely style called Luna from Detour.

It's just beautiful, the way it's created, the textures, the way it flows with my body as I walk. Keri Clip's creations never fail to take my breath away (I'm still saving up for one of her skin packs). There are a range of colours but I personally went for the Lightest Blonde colour avaliable as I tend to be black or platinum, but there are many colours to choose from so there's sure to be a colour to suit any taste.

Detour has many great hairstyles, as well as a range of beautifully perfect skins and clothing items, so the shop is definately well worth a visit as everything there is just brilliantly made.

Watch out world, there's a new pose maker in town.

Hey again guys (if there's actually anyone out there reading, ever!), I've been pretty good in making poses now, and I figured out that I would have to make 60 poses in order to make a profit on my first week's shop opening. Sell packs of 15 at L$160 each and then those divided up into single packs, at L$30 a pop. I hopefully will sell one each of everything a week, meaning I would earn L$2440 per week, minus upload fees for the images and the poses themselves (L$1280) and then minus a weeks rent for the shop that I've got my eye on, in a high traffic area (L$280) I will actually turn over a profit of L$680, which is only if one person buys one of each of my pose-packs a week. Hopefully there will be more people, but I think that's a good estimate for a first weeks business, any advice on this subject I would be extremely grateful for as this is the first time I've ever endevoured into anything of this sort.

My idea for getting it all advertised is to go around and look for models and designers etc who will find my poses quite useful and send them a notecard. I've already been doing this so far and there's already one interested client who wants to use my poses for her next runway show! Eeek. I'd prefer, obviously to be a model in the show, but maybe after a small ammount of schmoozing this evening I might be able to talk myself into her modeling agency! But maybe I'm getting a little too far ahead of myself there!

I will post pictures of my favourites from the grid-wide ghost hunt, when I get in from work, and pictures of my poses.

If anyone's interested in recieving a sample pack of my poses and a notecard with my pricings etc then please drop me a note-card ingame to Milk McCallen and name it "pose enquiry" :)
Thankies!
x

Who you gonna call?

I'm currently doing the ghost buster's hunt, and it's shaping up to be pretty damn brilliant. I'm loving it so far. I cant wait to sort through all my crap.

I'm also going to stay up till 3am to go to the Lingerie Party over at The Strawberry Fields Cafe tonight that starts at 7pm SLT, which is 3am for me! But I cant sleep due to the RL stuff right now, so I might as well go on a ghost hunt and then get undressed for a party right?

I will post pictures.

Icecreams, green skinnies and shiny things.

Hello again all. This will be a short entry today, and I wouldnt really expect anything later either. I was going to give you a spectacular picture today, but I no longer feel like it and for that I make no apologies as, as much as I hate to talk about RL, but I learnt that an ex boyfriend (who was also an old friend) was killed last night, on his 18th birthday, so I'm a little distracted right now.

Anyway, here's the wonderful new outfit I was talking about. I finally found the perfect matching shoes, they're Speedy Pumps in Cherry from Shiny Things. I love that store more then anything right now. The top is again the one I told you about from Veschi and the skinny jeans are from Celestial Studios. I've accessorised with the lovely tights I wore on my previous outfit, and a gorgeous Jewelry set called Lollypop Guild in Rainbow from Violet Volitaire. The hair is from Truth again.

I finally got accepted to a modeling agency, Affinity Models. I'm going for orientation shortly, the owner, Rayn Coeyman is just doing a few things and is going to then get back to me. It has cheered me up slightly, so thanks for the acceptance :)

Purple muffins and the Sexy Sn@tch!

Dont worry, if you're under 18, you can still read this! Haha, the title just made me chuckle ok?

I finally got to take a good picture of those beautiful boots! Arent you happy? Anyways, the wonderfully beautifully, gorgeous top is the Muffin Top in Purple from Veschi, they've currently got a 50% sale on over there so go and shop till you drop before the sale ends! All the stuff there is to die for! I've got the cutest little icecream top, which I will show you soon from there <3, Dark Eden, as I mentioned before. The hair is a freebie called Izzy(which, coincidentally is the same name as my RL best friend!) from Truth. She has so many gorgeous hairs over there and a few gorgeous freebies, so go and take a look.

I'm also submitting an unedited version of that picture above to the Sn@tch store for modeling. I love that store and this could be the break into the modeling field that I've always wanted. The store has such a great atmosphere too. I <3 Sn@tch right now. Well worth getting. There's sooo many things in there. Granted, there's a lot of things I'll delete, like all the furniture, because I dont have a house, but I cant wait to start digging through it all and finding some gems.

Weird skirt things, and random rezzing.

I had to post pictures of my new outfits, even if they're having weird faults. I have a gorgeous new pair of Bright Green skinny Jeans from Celestial Studios, which are just gorgeous, but I have yet to team them up with anything to make an outfit, so watch this space for them. Go and Check out CS anyways because they are just gorgeous.

First off I have this strange issue. This outfit again from Celestial Studios, is just brilliant, but the skirt keeps not even moving with my body. She's a great creator, so surely it should be one of those smart skirts, but it's not following my body, it's just sorta hanging there. Does anyone know what to do?

This gorgeous number is from the wonderful MG Studios. I absolutely love this, but again, this is another outfit where the flexi's just hang from my body. It's really weird. They're absolutely gorgeous though, I love this outfit, even if it is a little blockish because of... whatever I've done to my avvie. The SHOES(!) are from the wonderful Dark Eden, the ones I mentioned before that I got from the Lucky Chair. I'm in absolute Awe of them! Apologies on this picture for the still-rezzing shorts and belt. It's 10past midnight here and I've been up since 5:30 this morning, I'm a little tired for high-quality shoots. I'll do a load of pictures when I sort this issue out with my flexi's :)

Any help on the issues, I would seriously appreciate the hell out of, because they're all bugging me like crazy. I want to enjoy my gorgeous new clothes!

What happens when models blink?

This is my second life blog for my Second Life persona, Milk McCallen.
This I suppose is all inspired by the oodles of Second Life blogs and fashion blogs out there, every single one I've read has inspired me, from the designer blogs to the blogs by shoppers, each and every one has shaped my new-found sense of Second Life style

I took some pictures recently of a new discount dress, which I love, by Kuri Karas of Kuri Style. For such a low price it's absolutely gorgeous. I love everything about this dress, infact I've found myself almost living in it recently (mainly because of my complete inventory overhaul, deleting all the freebies and clothes I'd not worn in forever). It's just so beautifully made.
The hairs in the picture are from Gurlywood and are some of the first prim hairs I ever purchased, and they've never lost their spark for me. The shoes are infact freebies I got from a freebie pack when I first joined, so I dont know where they came from, sorry :) The skin, shape and eyes are (though the shape is edited by me) the Hebe set from Adora. I can only apologise for the closed-eye look. I dont know what happened there.
Click the images of their slightly larger counter-parts. :)

I also sat for 45mins in a chair at the wonderful Dark Eden and won the most GORGEOUS boots. I will make an entire post dedicated to the photoshoot I'm going to be setting up for them :P
